A Wishi Washi Christmas: DIY decorating ideas

Christmas is the one time of the year when the urge to dabble in crafting and DIY is at its strongest. I love to do something personal for my friends and family. Crack open the red wine, pump up the Christmas music, and get festive! Sometimes I make Christmas cards, sometimes paper wreaths or garlands. Last year it was baubles on ribbon strung up in our entrance hall. That involved a wobbly ladder, some precarious balancing, and expert one handed tying skills. But that’s another story.

This year I am loving Washi tape! For those of you who haven’t caught the washi-bug yet, washi tape is colourful patterned Japanese masking tape. It’s uses are endless, and it’s a really easy and cost effective way to bring a little personality and uniqueness to your Christmas decorations, cards and gifts. But before you become overwhelmed with the sheer choice of washi tape out there, take a breath, because you can buy coordinated bundles from www.seekanddelight.co.za

Pictures speak louder than words, so below are some fabulous but totally simple ways to use washi tape this Christmas.
